Pedestrian killed during deadly police chase Spy Run Avenue Fort Wayne.

The Defendant, Denzel T. Gordon, is described as being: MALE/BLACK, DOB: 05/15/1995.

The Affiant, J. Shutt 1983F, is an officer of the Fort Wayne Police Agency. The Affiant believes and has good cause to believe that the Defendant committed the aforesaid offenses. The Affiant bases his belief on the fact that on or about December 11th, 2025, in the City of Fort Wayne, County of Allen, and State of Indiana I, J. Shutt 1983F, was traveling Northbound on Spy Run Ave approaching Elizabeth St at approximately 0601 hours. I was wearing full police uniform and operated a fully marked squad car with emergency lights and sirens.

At approximately 0602 hours I was stopped at the red light on Spy Run Ave at Elizabeth St in the middle lane when I observed the light turn green. I took my foot off my brake when I observed a White Nissan Altima disregard the red light traveling East on Elizabeth St and then onto Griswold Dr. I then turned right onto Griswold Dr in an effort to initiate a traffic stop. As we continued South on Griswold Dr, I activated my emergency lights and at this time the driver of the Nissan Altima and defendant, DENZEL GORDON, disregarded the traffic stop and accelerated his vehicle traveling South on Griswold Dr towards Tennessee Ave.

I then activated my emergency sirens and advised dispatch that I was involved in a vehicle pursuit. The defendant continued South on Griswold Dr and then turned Westbound on Tennessee Ave headed towards Spy Run Ave. While traveling West on Tennessee Ave I reached speeds of 56 miles per hour while maintaining a consistent distance away from the defendant’s vehicle indicating his excessive speed in posted zone of 30 miles per hour.

The defendant then turned right into the Lassus Gas Station at redacted using the gas station lot as a thorough fare before exiting onto Spy Run Ave. The defendant then took an immediate right into the alley just North of the gas station and continued East to the parking lot at Chase Manor Apartments. The defendant then turned into the parking lot and drove around the lot before exiting back onto Tennessee Ave Eastbound
